By air
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is about 16 km southwest of the city. Chengdu has flights to all the major cities of China, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Guilin, Guiyang, Hong Kong, Kunming, Nanking, and Shanghai. Bus service links the airport terminal and downtown Chengdu.
Near Songpan, Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport has reopened after an expansion in 2006. Dong't be fooled by the name, as the airport is about 88 km from Jiuzhaigou. Shuttle buses make the 1/2-hour trip.
By bus
There are four bus stations in Chengdu. The main one is Xinnanmen Bus Station. It is located in the city center and operates routes to Emeishan, Leshan, and other popular tourist destinations.
Chadianzi takes you to points northwest, such as Jiuzhaigou and Songpan. The North Railway/Bus station has service to Chongqing and Yibin, as well as northern Sichuan and WU Gui Qiao. It is located 40 minutes east of the city center by taxi.
By train
There are trains from Chengdu to Dazu, Emeishan Kunming, and Xi'an. It is also pollible by train to get to Guangzhou, Lanzhou, Beijing, Shanghai.
